THE

Wild Spirit

COLLECTION

Artist with pastel originals of wildlife

The Heartwork

Do you have a spirit animal? You know, that one creature that speaks to your soul like a best friend over a cup of tea.

When I look at reference images, it is that calling that pulls me in, that tells me this is 'the one' I must draw. To give voice to a spirit that is eager to be shared and cherished by someone like you.

This collection is a series of artwork done at different times - some back to back, and others with years in between. But they all have one thing in common - the call to the soul of the person who gazes upon them, a soul like yours, waiting to be appreciated and loved forever.

"Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened."

'Little Bandit'

Little Bandit pastel original artwork

The Piece

How easy is it to fall head over heels for 'Little Bandit'? Let’s just say I’m grinning like a Cheshire cat as I type this! Honestly, it’s almost impossible not to smile when you catch a glimpse of that adorable little face.

The clever framing is a delightful touch—this little art piece is perched at the bottom edge, playfully peeking over as if it’s just waiting for the right moment to join the party in your room. Who could resist that kind of charm?

The Piece

Oh boy, Fierce is truly a sight to behold.

Working to celebrate the grizzly bear's powerful presence and majestic stature, the Original artwork took over 30 hours and 100,000 strokes to showcase all those stunning details and the diverse texture of the fur.

Awe-inspiring and slightly intimidating, it was like painting the world’s biggest teddy bear, exuding a blend of strength and warmth that makes you want to cuddle up (just maybe with a little caution)!

How could I resist the charm of a fox?

Those clever little creatures with their sparkling eyes and playful antics, they steal hearts effortlessly!

It's not just their beauty that enchants me; it’s their spirit. The energy, the cunning mind, and that touch of sassy mischief – it just deeply resonates with my soul, and am lost in time watching them.

I wanted this work of art to capture that essence forever, to remind us to embrace our own inner fox: clever, curious, and downright beautiful.

It shows that while we pour all our love into them, they also fill our hearts to the brim with joy and warmth every single day. It's a wonderful reminder of the tender relationship we share—a circle of love that knows no bounds. eye pictures a circle.

The world doesn't always like us to growl.

But there's nothing wrong with a little bite.

'She Wolf' is made for the strong—for those who show their teeth when needed and protect what is theirs.

There is true beauty in that strength.

And this artwork celebrates it.

'Stretch and See'

Framed giraffe artwork

The Piece

Enchanting, poised, and undeniably chic. This black-and-white gem was born from the artist's unforgettable adventure in Africa.

Amidst the roaring lions and galloping zebras, it was the serene elegance of the wild giraffe that truly captivated.

The beauty of a doe's eyes is not limited to deer; and elegance, my friend, is unforgettable in any setting.

'Alces Alces'

Framed moose artwork

The Piece

One of the rare pieces where the artist was also the photographer of the reference image and only the Original Artwork was made.

Created pre-motherhood, when there was plenty of time and large canvases to work with (and naps weren’t just a daydream), this piece is a real nature getaway.

Standing in front of this 16 x 14" pastel piece feels like you're taking a stroll in the northern forests, surrounded by the wild. But that moose? It’s like the celebrity of the forest—majestic, intimidating, and utterly impossible to ignore.
